Oranges, Potatoes, and Toilet paper

are the only three things you can buy in 'bulk' in Paris. . . . .

At least I'll never get scurvy. . . . I have yet to find a recipe which combines potatoes and oranges, though, which would be ideal. . . Thus, for the past several weeks I have been living on a diet of oranges and potatoes. Yum!

I should really start squeezing my own orange juice, or something. Hmm. . . .

I have officially run out of creative ways to eat potatoes. Mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, 'french fries', diced potatoes, stewed potatoes, potato 'soup' . . . etc.

What I don't understand is, if toilet paper comes in bulk, why not Kleenex too? Do the French never get colds, or something? Maybe not.

Soda only comes in packs of six cans, '10 can' fridge packs, 6 packs of glass bottles, and 4 packs of plastic bottles. Also, the cans are smaller in France, and masochistically, these cans have more aluminum in the bottom than US cans, so it always feels like there is a slip of soda left in the bottom of the can, which is really annoying.

I am very sick of oranges now. Hmm, orange coke? Maybe. . . .

  1. Blender + oranges + potatoes = Yummy smoothie. Sure, why not, add some coke in there.
Yay for lots of fun adventures!
